Groups petition EC about travel reservation systems

As the European Commission considers liberalizing the code of conduct for Europe's computerized travel reservation system, hundreds of travel management companies, industry associations and corporations are petitioning the EC to keep some regulations. "The key rules which should be retained are mandatory participation and a prohibition on commission tying," said the Business Travel Coalition and 119 co-signers, including Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
