Insurance company to boost care delivery via new service

The AmeriHealth Mercy Family of Companies is deploying a real-time network designed to supply data on unmet medical needs as well as determine insurance eligibility before patients set appointments. NaviNet Clinical Messaging, which is available for two of AmeriHealth's plans, allows providers to "have a positive impact" on care delivery without unnecessarily burdening their practices, a company executive said.
