Ala. vets urge canine flu vaccinations as preventive measure

Many veterinarians in Montgomery County, Ala., are requiring area dogs to receive influenza vaccinations as a precautionary measure before being boarded or receiving grooming services. Canine flu has been documented in 30 states, with the strain first detected in January 2004 at a greyhound racetrack in Florida, according to AVMA.
