FDA food safety chief to leave agency

Stephen Sundlof is stepping down as director of the Food and Drug Administration's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition to accept a position at the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. Michael Landa, CFSAN's deputy director of regulatory affairs, will temporarily assume Sundlof's responsibilities.
