Professor: Turning grading over to students enhanced learning

A Duke University professor recently experimented with a grading policy in her classroom that put students in charge of grading their peers, a move she says motivated her students to work harder and more creatively. Students assessed other students' work and assigned a grade. Of her 16 students, Cathy Davidson reports that 15 already have earned an A.
