Researchers use MALDI MS to image tumors

U.S. researchers used an imaging technique called MALDI MS to study the molecular build of tissues in and surrounding tumors to uncover clues on cancer recurrence. The researchers focused on clear cell renal cell carcinoma tissues. The study results could help pave the way for the routine use of MALDI MS in evaluating tissue sections and identifying tumor parameters during surgery.
