Sirius fights FCC's move to ease access to wireless spectrum

Satellite radio provider Sirius XM is leading an effort to fight the FCC's plans aimed at easing access to wireless spectrum for carriers who won frequencies in a 1997 auction. Disputes over technical issues have prevented companies from fully using their bandwidth, and Sirius is arguing that the proposals -- headed for a vote this month -- would "fail to protect satellite radio's nearly 19 million subscribers and 35 million listeners from harmful interference."
