Air Canada is promoting its trans-Pacific service to lure U.S. travelers from airports such as Boston and Pittsburgh that lack nonstop service to Asia. The Montreal-based airline hopes to persuade passengers from the Northeast to use Toronto as a hub for international travel. "It's a good strategy. It's just a matter of educating travel buyers," said Michele Cardella, director of air consulting for the Advito unit of BCD Travel.
