Cedar Shopping Centers to sell Ohio retail portfolio for $45M

Cedar Shopping Centers will sell 17 retail centers in Ohio for $45 million. Canton, Ohio-based Nickleplate Realty Trust is buying the portfolio, which includes 14 shopping centers anchored by Discount Drug Mart stores. Nickleplate, a private company, is also buying FirstMerit Bank branches in Akron and Cuyahoga Falls as well as the McCormick Place shopping center in North Olmsted.
