Manufacturing dips as commodity prices, monetary policy change

Global manufacturing activity is beginning to be affected by disruption in Japan's supply chain, tightening monetary policy in China and increasing commodity prices, according to the Institute for Supply Management. The group's index of manufacturing activity dropped to 60.4 last month, from 61.2 in March.
