CMS issued more than $5B in EHR incentives as of April

CMS official Robert Anthony announced that as of April, more than $5 billion in Medicare and Medicaid incentive payments had been made to 93,650 doctors and hospitals that demonstrated meaningful use of EHRs. Last month alone, the CMS paid about $586 million to Medicare and Medicaid providers, he said.
