Kindle Fire loses steam as iPad's market share increases

The market share of Apple's iPad increased by 13 percentage points in the first quarter to 68%, while the market share for Amazon's Kindle Fire shrank from 17% in the fourth quarter to 4% in the first quarter, IDC says. In another report, NPD DisplaySearch predicted that Windows 8 will gain only a modest share of the tablet market before 2015.
