Markey queries carriers on their role in working with police

In a letter to eight leading wireless carriers, U.S. Rep. Edward Markey, D-Mass., has asked about their policies on working with local police in monitoring and tracking suspects and other cellphone users during criminal investigations. Markey is a leader of the Congressional Bipartisan Privacy Caucus.
