MGM posts a higher Q1 loss amid business rebound

MGM Resorts International failed to benefit from improved revenues during the first quarter, widening its loss to $217.3 million compared with an $89.9 million loss a year earlier. However, net revenue climbed 51%, to $2.29 billion, during the quarter, as the company added MGM China results and rode a tourism boom in Las Vegas to report higher occupancies and revenue per available room.
