Morrisons cites strong sales last spring for Q1 drop

UK grocery chain Morrisons reported a 1% drop in same-store sales for the first quarter and blamed much of the decline on the comparison to unusually strong sales during the same period last year. Some analysts worry that Morrisons, which doesn't sell online and operates only a handful of smaller convenience stores, may be losing market share to larger rivals Tesco and Asda.
