RIM's Heins vows more unified message, 4G tablet

Research In Motion CEO Thorsten Heins conceded Wednesday that the company's marketing message had strayed too often and said RIM was close to hiring a new chief marketing officer. "One thing that really became obvious when I looked at the various parts of the company is that we needed focus," he told reporters at RIM's BlackBerry World conference. He also said the company would offer a 4G BlackBerry Playbook tablet in 2012 and would continue to support the BlackBerry 7 operating system for a few years.
