Survey reveals enduring potential for text message marketing

Although it's not exactly cutting-edge, text message marketing still holds potential, according to a Harris Interactive survey for Placecast. Nearly one-third of consumers who receive such messages are more likely to visit stores as a result, and about one-third of those who don't receive them say they'd be somewhat interested in them.
