Datamonitor: Children influence cereal purchases

While 70% of parents say they are concerned about the nutrition in cereal, nearly half with children under age 13 said their children influence their cereal purchases, according to Datamonitor. "Children are far more likely to be sold on the 'fun factor' rather than health credentials," said Ramaa Chipalkatti, consumer insights analyst.
