Haemonetics plans to shut down its manufacturing facility in Braintree, Mass., and transfer the production of its disposable products to its plant in Mexico. The move is expected to cut 320 jobs and follows the company's $555 million purchase of Pall's blood-collection, processing and filtration products. Gerry Gould, Haemonetics' vice president of investor relations, said the company has been integrating existing operations with newly acquired ones and in doing so had encountered "some redundancies and overlap."
