Livestock, poultry producers file comments on RFS white paper

Seven livestock and poultry groups filed their comments on a House committee's white paper on the impact of the Renewable Fuel Standard. The standard is driving up corn prices, making livestock and poultry production more expensive, the groups said. In its own comments, the Renewable Fuels Association pointed out that several studies have confirmed that the RFS and the expansion of ethanol production are not the prime movers of corn prices.
