MGM swings to a profit of $6.5M in Q1

MGM Resorts International posted earnings of $6.5 million in the first quarter and a 3% increase in total revenue, to $2.35 billion. MGM said strong hotel bookings at its Las Vegas and Macau properties helped the company rebound from a $217.3 million loss a year ago. Room revenues from its hotel operations climbed 2%.
