Give me free Wi-Fi, or give me death!

A group of digerati, fanatic in their belief that Wi-Fi should be free, have been expanding the Austin Wireless City Project, which aims to provide free Wi-Fi throughout the city. The project is gaining traction, and many of its participants say there could be a business to be built from the network. For their parts, Starbucks and T-Mobile, which purvey fee-based hot spots, say they aren't worried about the project, for they believe free hot spots could build awareness for Wi-Fi and drive traffic to their business.
