FDA approves GSK whooping cough booster

With whooping cough making a surprise resurgence among older children and teens, the FDA approved a GlaxoSmithKline booster vaccine against the disease, intended primarily for adolescents. The firm's Boostrix will be administered as part of a shot that already contains vaccines against tetanus and diphtheria.
