P&G chief sees end to retailer inventory curbs

Retailer inventory reductions hit Procter & Gamble Co.'s third-quarter sales, but profit at the CPG giant rose 37%, the company announced. P&G chairman and CEO A.G. Lafley said inventory curbs may be ending: "It would be difficult, if not impossible, to take inventories down any further and keep product on the shelf."
