Istanbul transforms itself into stylish epicenter

For centuries, the Turks conquered other nations through sheer might. Now, Istanbul aims to kill them with kindness, or at least style. Nearly everything in the cultural center of Turkey has been transformed. Downtrodden neighborhoods are now filled with hip nightclubs and artists, hammams have become spas for world travelers and the fashion industry has adopted Medieval Ottoman motifs.
