YouTube-based show to test site's advertising potential

As Google-owned YouTube gears up to debut commercials on the site this summer, "Afterworld," a big-budget animated sci-fi show, makes its debut on the video-sharing site. The show's production company, Electric Farm, plans to show the episodes on as many video portals as possible and franchise the series to mobile, computer and console games.
