Expert cautions companies over journal articles on off-label use

Companies that use medical journal articles to support off-label use of their drugs or devices should not provide comments or additional data, an industry expert says. The advice, which urges firms to distinguish between scientific education and product promotion, is among comments from trade and consumer advocacy groups on a new draft guidance by the FDA.
