IVF expert: Stem cells could lead to replacement body parts

Robert Edwards, a pioneer of in vitro fertilization, said that within decades, stem cell technology will allow humans to grow body parts to replace diseased organs. His statement coincided with the recent discovery by U.S. researchers of genetic characteristics that trigger tissue regeneration in laboratory animals.
