Canadian developer to refurbish old Wash. floating bridge

A developer in Victoria, British Columbia, is importing a floating bridge to Vancouver Island by towing it across the water. Marker Developments paid $750,000 for 11 pontoon sections of the former Hood Canal Bridge in Washington state, and plans to refurbish the bridge in Canada. After renovating the bridge, Marker plans to either sell it, or incorporate it into a waterfront hotel development.
