Obama plan would crack down on corporate tax avoidance

President Barack Obama and Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner reportedly will outline plans today to crack down on companies that avoid corporate taxes. The effort is expected to focus on tax laws that encourage companies to send jobs overseas and on international tax shelters that allow companies to hide income. The initiative would be in line with campaign promises Obama made last year.
