Texas and Ohio lawmakers, concerned about the future of Continental Airlines hubs in Houston and Cleveland, are examining legal options to preserve service and employment levels following the merger with United Airlines. Unions for all major work groups -- pilots, flight attendants and machinists -- also weighed in to warn against significant job cuts as the airlines merge their operations.
