Execs says biotech firms need to adapt to tough economic conditions

Biotech companies need to adopt a "different playbook, for a different environment moving forward" in order to survive the economic recession, said Burill & Co. CEO Steven Burrill, who is expected to deliver a report at the BIO convention. Meanwhile, Jim Greenwood, BIO's president and chief executive, said investors still are interested in investing in firms that can bring "real innovation."
