FTC may become Internet enforcer as part of financial reform

The Federal Trade Commission could gain power for its role as a watchdog for Internet users, if a provision under consideration as part of the financial services reform bill makes it into the final legislation. "If we had a deterrent, a bigger stick to fine malefactors, that would be helpful," FTC Chairman Jon Leibowitz told Fox News.
