Kansas City-area retail Q1 stats are a mixed bag

A quarterly report from Lane4 Property Group shows a mixed bag for the Kansas City-area retail space. The vacancy rate at area shopping centers reached 12.2% in Q1, compared with 11.6% in the same period last year. But the report also noted that average home prices were rising, along with building permit increases and food and retail sales growth nationwide.
