Massachusetts water main repaired; drinking water restored

Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick lifted an order requiring 2 million Boston-area residents to boil water for drinking and cooking after a water main burst on Saturday. Workers rushed to repair the 10-foot-diameter water pipe in Weston, Mass., and welded a steel collar to connect two pipe sections, then encased it in concrete. More than 800 water samples were tested at 482 locations after the repairs.
