Mom is the secret behind Johnny Cupcakes' success

John Earle started selling cupcake-themed T-shirts while touring the country with his band. Back home in Massachusetts, his mother, Lorraine, kept track of sales, filled orders and more. Lorraine says that when she realized the potential of the Johnny Cupcakes brand, she dialed back her own career to manage her son's finances and operations, helping to create a $3.4 million apparel company. "I have to be the worrywart so my son feels free to exercise his imagination," she says.
