Senate is poised to start voting on reform bill amendments

The Senate may start voting today on amendments to legislation overhauling financial regulations, according to Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill. The Senate is considering a number of proposals, including one from Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., to ban the use of taxpayer money to keep companies from collapsing. "There's nothing more important we do in this bill than to end the too-big-to-fail concept," according to Senate banking committee Chairman Christopher Dodd, D-Conn.
