W.K. Kellogg Airport to break ground on new runway

The W.K. Kellogg Airport will begin construction today on a 75-foot-wide parallel runway that stretches 4,100 feet. The $7.2 million project will allow separate runways for high-speed jets and general aviation aircraft. The new runway for the airport in Battle Creek, Mich., should be completed by the end of the summer.
