Fire department acquires extinguisher training simulator through grant

The Richmond Hill Fire Department in Georgia acquired a Bullex fire extinguisher training simulator unit that generates propane fire and simulates various fire types and intensity through electrical controls that can quickly put out the fire. "With the portability of the new Bullex training simulator unit, we will be able to go out to the community to work with small groups giving hands-on experience in using fire extinguishers correctly and safely," RHFD Capt. Andy Burriss said. A safety grant from the Georgia Municipal Association paid for the training simulator unit.
