GenVec expands animal health partnership with Merial

GenVec has entered an agreement to allow Merial, the animal health unit of Sanofi-Aventis, to explore potential animal health applications within GenVec's vaccine technology, and it will begin with a look at applications for fighting swine diseases. The new agreement expands GenVec's initial deal with Merial to market its vaccine system for use against foot-and-mouth disease.
