30% Club urges firms to appoint more female directors

About two dozen top U.S. executives, including billionaire investor Warren Buffett and KPMG chairman John Veihmeyer, have thrown their weight behind the 30% Club, a movement that encourages corporations to appoint more women to board-level leadership positions. Doing so improves corporate performance, proponents say. "It's not just a nice thing to do, but it's fundamental to business priorities," Veihmeyer said.
