Massachusetts House approves bill allowing therapeutic cloning

The Massachusetts House approved veto-threatened legislation to allow scientists to clone human embryos for therapeutic purposes without the consent of a district attorney as in current law. The Senate already passed the bill, but is considering adding funding support to it, despite the governor's announced intention to veto the legislation even as it now stands. California and New Jersey already allow therapeutic cloning.
