Kroger to widen selection, build stores in 2006

Kroger will add more organic products, seasonal goods, and private label merchandise to its offerings and add amenities such as more drive-through pharmacies, gas stations, and coffee bars to its portfolio, a company executive said. The retailer plans to build 30 to 40 new stores in fiscal 2006.
