Study: Age a good predictor of adulthood obesity problems

A study tracking nearly 6,000 British children concludes that those who are overweight or obese by the age of 11 face the likelihood of carrying the excess weight into adulthood and suffering from related health problems. About a quarter of the children already had weight problems by the time they entered secondary school.
