DOD approves plan for mass production of Lockheed missiles

Lockheed Martin received DOD approval to move forward with a plan to mass produce long-range, air-to-ground cruise missiles. The military will install the missiles on Air Force strike fighters and bombers. Analysts say they expect the Pentagon to spend at least $4 billion to buy 4,000 standard and extended-range missiles over the next decade.
