Google wants FCC intervention over open-network pledge

Google filed a request Friday with the FCC to intervene with Verizon Wireless involving the open-network requirements the FCC laid down on Verizon's successful bid for a chunk of the 700-MHz spectrum in the recent wireless auction. Verizon did not comment on the filing. CTIA-The Wireless Association® has a lawsuit pending aimed at throwing out the open-access rules.
