Ante, recounts the successes and failures of Georges Doriot, who founded American Research & Development in 1946, becoming a pioneer of the venture capital industry. Doriot attributes much of his success to focusing on talent, saying, "An average idea in the hands of an able man is worth much more than an outstanding idea in the possession of a person with only average ability."
