Calif. works stimulus money into infrastructure projects

Economic stimulus funds in the amount of $3.6 billion will pay for highway and street repairs and transit projects in California. In the San Francisco Bay Area, $192 million of that will go to pay for boring the fourth passageway in the Caldecott Tunnel. Officials also expect to receive a large chunk of the $8 billion the federal government has allotted for rail systems.
