Wells Fargo at risk from commercial real estate holdings

Having acquired Wachovia Corp., Wells Fargo has substantial commercial real estate holdings, a fact that could become a big problem if the commercial real estate sector continues to weaken, as many economists predict. The Wachovia deal put $6 billion worth of commercial mortgage securitizations on Wells Fargo's books.
