Ash continues to disrupt air traffic in Scotland, Ireland

Civil-aviation authorities in Ireland and Scotland again have closed airports today because of ash drifting in from an erupting volcano in Iceland. The closures come as European Union transportation ministers work toward a unified airspace authority and establish guidelines for when volcanic ash and other contaminants reach levels that make it unsafe to fly.
